Green Colorado Real Estate

Don't let all the orange fool you, Real-a-Save was started with the intention of being a new kind of real estate company, not just in how we structure and handle your transactions, but also in how we impact the world around us. We strive to be an environmentally friendly and energy efficient business in how we operate by embracing new technology and being aware of the choices we make. Below are some of those choices we've made that we think make us the greenest real estate company in the Colorado front range.

Paperless Company

From the beginning we've been a paperless company. We leverage online technology and digital signatures to keep paper out of the equation on our end for our real estate transactions. What this means is that you won't waste time and resources printing, signing and faxing all the contract work that is involved in buying or selling a home. Even paper documents originated by other Realtors enter our system in an electronic way and stay in our system that way. Our systems also encourage other Realtors to use less paper because we are engaging them in a paperless way to begin with. You can feel good about all the printing resources you're saving from contact to closing by working with us.

Virtual Offices

Everyone in our company works in a virtual environment instead of in a dedicated office building. We spend very little time using traditional office space. This reduces energy use and pollution from commuting and means we won't be cooling, heating, and leaving the lights on all night in an empty office building.

Hybrids for Business Travel

All of our local business travel is carried out zipping around in our hybrid vehicle. Give us a honk when you see us driving around town in our colorfully wrapped Prius.

No Print Advertising

We all know how annoying junk mail can be and who really looks at those home ads on the back anyway? Over 80% of home searches begin online and that's where we focus our advertising and marketing efforts. Instead of trying to fill up your recycle bin, we focus on advertising your home on the MLS and a large number of other networks and on bringing you great tools to aid in your search when buying.

Environmentally Conscious Technology

We host our websites and technology with green or environmentally conscious companies whenever possible. Our main site is hosted in the cloud by a company who strives to use the most efficient components available to reduce energy use and has an aggressive recycling program. We use an online backup system instead of having our own devices to buy, ship, service and for which we'd have to store other media like tapes and DVDs. We also recycle or donate any equipment we use that breaks or needs upgraded such as cell phones, network equipment and computers. We feel it's important to support other companies who are making better choices in their business practices.

We Give Back

Starting in summer 2009, we are giving back to our Earth by planting a tree in our customer's name whenever we close a transaction. That's right. We'll honor the recipient with a tree planted in a national forest that has been devastated by insects, disease, and wildfires via the Arbor Day foundation. It's one of our ways of saying "Thank you" to our customers and to our beautiful planet.
