Castle Rock

Call It Home

Castle Rock features several suburban, planned development neighborhoods tied together by a historic downtown center. Homes west of downtown sit hilltop and are almost all extremely spacious and modern in design. To the east of downtown rests a delightful older neighborhood, with massive pine trees and cute homes on lots offering space from the neighbors and stunning views of Castle Rock. Regardless of the neighborhood or home style you choose, Castle Rock real estate is more affordable than many surrounding cities-you really get more here.

Between the distinctly different neighborhoods of west and east Castle Rock is downtown, a historic area first inhabited by miners and railroad workers in the 1800s. Downtown, with its boutique shopping and specialty dining, retains Castle Rock's small-town feel with a touch of chic ambiance. Sassafrass Home, The Mind Garden, One Upon a Horse and The Cat's Meow Flowers all offer eclectic blends of trendy merchandise that just aren't available at big-box stores (although, with the Outlets at Castle Rock just down the street, affordable big-box shopping is a breeze) . When your wallet's had enough, head over to local favorites The Castle Rock Grill, Castle Café or Granelli's Pizzeria for dishes sure to please.

With more than 470 accessible open space acres, including areas such as Gateway Mesa Open Space and Rock Park Open Space, Castle Rock residents known how to enjoy the outdoors. 210 acres of developed parkland keeps kids happy, 35 miles of trail please hikers and bikers while offering easy access to the city and the Red Hawk Ridge public golf course delights golf enthusiasts.

Affordable housing, great schools and wide open spaces were taken into consideration when Family Circle Magazine named Castle Rock among the top 10 places to call home. Family Circle had it right-if you visit Castle Rock, you'll agree.
