Berkeley
The neighborhood of Berkeley, bounded by 38th St., 48th St., Sheridan and Federal, has undergone many changes in the past few years and is known as an up-in-coming Denver area.

Old Neighborhood, New Feel
Berkeley is unique. Berkeley has character. Berkeley feels creative. This is not one of those all-the-houses-look-the-same neighborhoods. The turn-of-the-century houses are charming, each with a different shape, style and exterior façade. Bright colors and neutral hues stand out against handsome green lawns and beautiful trees. Almost every house has a large front porch-perfect for a relaxing summer night.
A six-block stretch of this neighborhood has undergone major redevelopment, setting the vibe for what this entire neighborhood is sure to become. This bohemian and eclectic array of trendy, one-of-a-kind shops includes Kriya Yoga, Strut Denver, Simple Foods Market and DJ's Berkeley Cafe (with brews rivaling Starbucks any day). A thriving art community also calls Berkeley home, hosting a monthly 'First Friday' art walk (of the 12 local galleries) and holding several great concerts at The Oriental Theater.
Another fabulous feature of the Berkeley area (besides being next-door to the shabby-chic Highlands neighborhood and offering easy I-70 highway access), is the massive park and lake on its North border. Berkeley Park boasts four public tennis courts, a full basketball court, a large, recreational-use lake, and gorgeous landscaping.
With a calming, family feel, Berkeley is a fabulous choice to get out of the city without moving to the suburbs. This neighborhood is experiencing major growth and will certainly be hot real-estate in the near future.
