Sloan Lake
Just 10 minutes from Downtown Denver, and about 20 minutes from the Rocky Mountains, is the extremely popular neighborhood of Sloan Lake. As its name implies, this neighborhood is anchored by Sloan Lake, and its surrounding park space.

Boating in the Middle of the City?
At the center of this neighborhood, the lake and park offer outdoor enthusiast a never-ending array of activity. Expect to see water-skiers, fishermen and boaters enjoying the lake, along with bicyclists, joggers and sunbathers relaxing on the expansive lawn. This park also features four lighted, public tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic shelter and two beautifully equipped playgrounds.
Although the lake and park are primary draws to the area, the charming 1930s Queen Anne homes will have you falling in love with Sloan Lake. These typically all-brick homes ooze character and quaintness in their architectural details and interesting shapes. Most of these homes are situated on large lots with big backyards, mature trees and beautiful views.
Because of this areas mass appeal, another type of home is popping up; the renovated, urban space. While not on every block, there are quite a few homes that have been entirely updated, added onto and modernized, while still maintaining their 1930's charisma.
While mainly a residential area, restaurants and shopping can be found directly across Sheridan Boulevard. Edgewater Pizza is a long-time local favorite, and Jersey Mike's Subs is new to the neighborhood, but rapidly gaining popularity. And, as with most fabulous neighborhoods, there's a Starbucks waiting (with breath-taking over-the-lake views of downtown).
Sloan Lake is an ideal neighborhood for families and singles of all generations. The lake and park are an easy crowd pleaser, and the surrounding neighborhoods help to provide everything needed to call Sloan Lake home.
