Washington Park

You'll be well acquainted with cascading trees, historic brick homes and extensive open space if you live in the Wash Park area (named after the neighborhood's central feature, Washington Park). The neighborhood has an overwhelming community feel, but the vibe isn't sleepy-suburban-community, its happening, vibrant and absolutely part of the city that surrounds it.

Let's go for a stroll

The neighborhood of Wash Park sits next to the shopper's haven of Cherry Creek and the nightlife junkie's dream of Downtown Denver. But, what really draws people to the area is the park: a dramatic, 165-acres of open space and spectacular flower gardens, both alive with color and fragrance. Joggers, bikers and nature lovers are plentiful on Wash Park's winding, 2.6-mile pathway. Busy hands and feet delight in two excellently equipped playgrounds, and sports enthusiasts appreciate the basketball court, tennis courts, soccer fields and community recreation center.

Most of the cozy, brick homes here are over 100 years old, but almost all Wash Park homes have undergone some degree of renovation (it's not uncommon to see entire second story additions atop original housing structures, making the area a hip, upscale, and sought after neighborhood). Neutral colors and architectural accents ensure authentic charm remains, regardless of renovation.

Although Wash Park is a mainly residential neighborhood, there's enough happening that residents have no need to travel outside the neighborhood for excellent shopping and dining experiences. An urban blend of chic and bohemian boutique space defines Wash Park's shopping experience, including Sushi Den (voted Best Sushi in Denver for years now), Beez Kneez (an eclectic, upscale children's boutique) and Alice's Tapestries (one-of-a-kind, fabulously creative handbags).

Wash Park offers a fantastic blend of city life and nature, quiet community and chic domain. This is a historic neighborhood with a truly unparalleled lifestyle, and a splendid place to call home.
